Where applicable, you may opt out through the Your Privacy Choices page.

9. Shopify

Our store uses Shopify technology. Shopify processes certain information about access to and use of the store to provide, protect, and improve its services. For certain functions, Shopify may act as an independent controller.

You can learn more in Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise certain rights concerning information processed by Shopify through its Privacy Portal.

10. Domestic and international data transfers

Shopify and some of our providers may process or store information in Mexico, the United States, and other countries. The laws of these countries may differ from those in your place of residence.

Transfers necessary to process payments, fulfill orders, ship products, prevent fraud, provide requested services, or comply with legal obligations will be conducted in accordance with the exceptions and requirements established by applicable law.

We will not make transfers that require your consent without first requesting it. You may object to or withdraw your consent for non-essential transfers by emailing hola@selectobeats.mx. This will not affect transfers necessary to complete a purchase or comply with a legal obligation.

11. Third-party content and services

The website may include links, players, or content from third parties such as Spotify, SoundCloud, and Instagram. When you load or use these services, the third party may receive technical information, identifiers, or usage data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

  • Manage accounts, orders, and customer relationships.
  • Process returns, warranties, questions, or claims.
  • Comply with tax, accounting, contractual, and legal obligations.
  • Prevent fraud and protect our rights.
  • Maintain marketing communications until you withdraw your consent or unsubscribe.

When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or block it for any retention period required by applicable law.

13. Security

We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against loss, alteration, destruction, unauthorized access, or unauthorized processing. We also work with providers that maintain their own security measures.

No system is completely infallible. If we identify a breach that may significantly affect your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

14. ARCO rights and privacy preferences in Mexico

You may exercise the following rights:

  • Access: learn what personal information we retain and how we use it.
  • Rectification: request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Cancellation: request the deletion of information when legally permitted.
  • Objection: request that we stop processing information for specific purposes.

You may also request that we limit the use or disclosure of your information and withdraw consent when processing depends on it. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing conducted beforehand or information we must retain by law.

To submit a request, email hola@selectobeats.mx with the subject line “ARCO Rights” and include:

  • Your name and a method for receiving notifications.
  • A document that allows us to verify your identity or the corresponding legal representation.
  • A clear description of the information related to your request.
  • The right you wish to exercise and the action you are requesting.
  • Any information that may help us locate the relevant data.

We will communicate our decision within a maximum of 20 days after receiving a complete request. If the request is approved, we will implement it within the following 15 days. These periods may be extended once when justified by the circumstances and permitted by law.

If you believe your request was not handled correctly, you may submit a complaint to the competent Mexican personal data protection authority.

15. Rights in other jurisdictions

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including requesting access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of processing; withdrawing consent; objecting to certain processing; and appealing a decision concerning your request.

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, processing may be based, as applicable, on the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests, or your consent. You may also submit a complaint to the data protection authority where you live.

In certain United States jurisdictions, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of information for targeted advertising. You can exercise the available options through the Your Privacy Choices page.

When we receive a valid Global Privacy Control signal and applicable law requires us to honor it, we will treat it as an opt-out request for the browser and device from which it was sent.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before responding.

16. Children

Our services are not directed to children, and we do not intentionally collect their personal information. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that a child has provided us with personal information, contact us to request its deletion.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, providers, or legal requirements. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. When required by law, we will notify you of material changes through other means.
