Un clásico absoluto del catálogo de Main Street Records, “Acting Crazy” es una de esas joyas que definen épocas y estilos sin alzar la voz. Esta reedición en vinilo de 12" reúne toda la esencia de una colaboración legendaria: Moritz Von Oswald y Mark Ernestus —sí, los mismos cerebros detrás de Basic Channel y Maurizio— suman en esta entrega la inconfundible voz de Paul St. Hilaire (a.k.a. Tikiman), quien aporta una vibra roots reggae que transforma el groove en algo profundamente hipnótico y emocional.
El tema principal, “Acting Crazy (Club Vocal)”, ocupa toda la cara A y es una experiencia por sí sola. Un viaje de más de nueve minutos que flota entre el dub minimalista berlinés, la estructura sólida del deep house neoyorquino y ese toque cálido y rítmico que solo el reggae puede entregar. No es una pista que se escuche: es una pista que se siente, ideal para crear atmósferas introspectivas o romper con elegancia en sets de largo aliento. No por nada, quienes conocen su poder suelen llevar dos copias.
Del otro lado, el lado B aporta dos versiones que extienden su potencial en la pista: una instrumental que recuerda directamente a los lanzamientos de Maurizio, cargada de texturas profundas y sutiles, y una edición más corta que conserva la esencia vocal pero con una estructura más ágil, perfecta para mezclas más dinámicas o intros más contenidos.
